My own principles

My internet site about Word (Diplom-Reader) (in German only), LEGO as a hobby and my Cycle travels (in German only) serves for the information and entertainment. I sell nothing here and as visitor of my site you can only leave a few traces. For example you can not comment on anything here, you can not order a newsletter nor you can "like" or "tweet" anything. However while browsing on my site incoming data occur and you have the right that this data is handled responsible.

Among other things, these data serve as my protection as a provider and help to adapt and improve my offer to the user behavior of the visitors.

If you send me an email to one of my email adresses or use the contact form, this happens voluntarily. It is essential that you also tell me your email address. Otherwise I can not contact you back and answer your questions.

I as operator of this website take the protection of your personal data very seriously. I treat your personal data as confidential and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or your web browser automatically deletes them.

Plugins and Tools

YouTube with extended data protection

This website embeds videos from the YouTube website. The website is operated by Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

When loading pages on www.holgermatthes.de with embedded YouTube videos, no requests are sent to YouTube. For each embedded video, you must first agree that a YouTube video can be displayed and played as an embedded, playable video on the pages of www.holgermatthes.de using the “Show external content from YouTube and play video” button.

I use YouTube in extended data protection mode. According to YouTube, this mode means that YouTube does not store any information about visitors to this website before they watch the video. However, the extended data protection mode does not necessarily exclude the passing on of data to YouTube partners. This means that YouTube connects to the Google DoubleClick network regardless of whether you are watching a video.

As soon as you start a YouTube video on this website, a connection to YouTube's servers is established. The YouTube server is informed which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to assign your surfing behavior directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

Furthermore, after starting a video, YouTube can store various cookies on your device or use comparable recognition technologies (e.g. device fingerprinting). In this way, YouTube can receive information about visitors to this website. This information is, among other things, used to collect video statistics, improve user experience and prevent fraud attempts.

If necessary, further data processing operations may be triggered after starting a YouTube video, over which I have no influence.

The use of YouTube is in the interest of an attractive presentation of our online offerings. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

If appropriate consent has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO and Section 25 Abs. 1 TTDSG insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user's end device (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time.

Further information about data protection at YouTube can be found in their data protection declaration at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.

The company is certified according to the “EU-US Data Privacy Framework” (DPF). The DPF is an agreement between the European Union and the USA that is intended to ensure compliance with European data protection standards when data is processed in the USA. Every DPF certified company undertakes to comply with these data protection standards. Further information can be obtained from the provider using the following link: https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/s/participant-search/participant-detail?contact=true&id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active

Changes to my privacy policy

I reserve the right to occasionally adapt this data protection declaration so that it always complies with current legal requirements or to implement changes to my services in the data protection declaration, e.g. B. when introducing new services. The new data protection declaration will then apply to your next visit.
